Extra Class question of the day: Station control
Automatic antenna switch – OK2WY
This revolutionary new amplifier delivers maximum legal power in all modes and operates on all HF amateur bands. It changes forever the way radio amateurs employ HF power amplifiers in their stations. Instantaneous, automatic tuning makes slow, cumbersome band changes a thing of the past. A built-in, wide-range antenna tuner matches loads with high VSWR up to , often eliminating the cost and complexity of an external, high-power antenna tuner. RS digital control permits full integration into any computer-driven station configuration. Advanced protection circuits ensure amplifier safety under every potential combination of operating conditions. Remote diagnostic features and modular design ease fault isolation and repair.
The following are W1TR Software Applications for HAM / MARS
I am too lazy change often antenna cables, seek their ends in mess on my table and toggle all the weird manual antenna switches again and again. One solution for cleaning my hamshack table and obtain as goal possible remotely operated hamshack is an automatic antenna switch. Commercialy available things are even far of my budget or not fulfill my expectation about their functionality. So one nice evening I was start my own homebrew project.
The Acom 04AT is an automatic antenna tuner, which has been specifically designed for operation with the Acom Transistor amplifiers. In such a combination, both the amplifier and the tuner form a perfect team for very comfortable automated operation at high power. This reduces cable losses over the long feed line, because only the antenna nad the relatively short local feed line is tuned.
